Advocacy Alert
One of the genuinely praiseworthy aspects of the current administration is its support for reducing poverty, ending hunger, and making development more central to US foreign policy. Peace and justice groups and development agencies alike are urging the US take the next step in making US development aid less fragmented, building on the bi-partisan passage of S.1524, our top priority last year, by the Sen. Foreign Relations Committee.
Let's call on our members of Congress to support and expand this hopeful direction in foreign aid. It is the moral choice – and it can only enhance our security and our standing in the world. (For more info go to: www.InterAction.org www.modernizingforeignassistance.org www.bread.org)
